Job summary

Unified Mammography Services, a unit of Unified Women's Healthcare, seeks a Breast Ultrasound Technologist for its San Antonio location. The role supports breast imaging procedures, collaborates with radiology staff, and contributes to high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Candidates should be ARDMS registered, eligible for ARDMS Advanced Breast Registry or ARRT Breast Sonography within six months, and bring at least two years of experience in breast ultrasound.

Qualifications

• ARDMS registered sonographer.
• Must obtain ARDMS Advanced Breast Registry or ARRT Breast Sonography within six months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Breast Sonographer.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform breast ultrasound procedures and ensure the transducer captures images correctly.
• Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients to avoid confusion.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and sterilize the exam room.
• Evaluate images for quality and assist the radiologist with interpretation.
• Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and healthcare team.
• Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound.
• Collaborate with Mammography technologists and Radiologist to capture required information.
• Review prior images and reports before completing an exam.
• Utilize PACS, EMR, and imaging systems.
