Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast seeks a Breast Sonographer to perform high-quality breast and general ultrasound exams under radiologist supervision. The role requires proficiency in breast imaging and motherhood of patient care practices within a busy department.

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of breast experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and registry/certification eligibility in ultrasound (RDMS preferred).

Qualifications

• Breast ultrasound experience required; proficient in breast and general ultrasound.
• 2 years of breast experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; eligible for registry/certification in ultrasound; RDMS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sonographic examinations on patients using ultrasound equipment for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes.
• Properly positions patients and scans areas for interpretation by radiologist or physician.
• Maintains equipment and updates patient records including RIS/PACS for accuracy.
