Job summary

AdventHealth in Hinsdale, IL is seeking a Breast Sonographer to perform high-quality ultrasound exams in the Women’s Imaging Center. You will verify patient data, position patients, and adjust equipment to obtain optimal images while maintaining patient comfort and privacy.

The role requires ultrasound knowledge, PACS proficiency, and strong communication across age groups. CPR and vascular imaging certifications are preferred. This is a day shift, full-time position on-site in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy essential.
• Proficient with PACS and radiology software.
• Strong patient care and communication across all ages.
• Must maintain required registries and licenses.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verifies patient identity and exam history prior to scanning.
• Positions patients and acquires optimal images and data.
• Maintains EMR/PACS documentation accurately and timely.
• Educates patients about the exam and privacy.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and adapts protocols as needed.
• Ensures exam rooms are clean and equipment is safe.
