Qualifications

• Education and Certification: Possess a degree or diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with RDMS and breast imaging credentials.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years performing breast ultrasound examinations and interpreting images.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and related software, with knowledge of breast anatomy.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication with patients and healthcare teams.
• Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze images and identify abnormalities.
• Ethics and Professionalism: Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Teamwork: Able to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Physical Stamina: Able to stand for long periods and assist patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations (abdominal, thyroid, renal, breast, carotid, scrotum, pelvic) using ultrasound equipment.
• Acquire high-quality images and interpret findings to aid diagnosis.
• Explain procedures and address patient concerns while ensuring comfort.
• Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to review findings.
• Document procedures and generate clear, concise reports.
• Maintain quality assurance and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Adhere to safety, privacy, and infection control policies.
• Pursue ongoing education on breast ultrasound techniques and advances.
