The University of Washington Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery, invites applications for a full-time academic breast surgeon at rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (WOT). The position supports research, teaching, and service within a leading health system and cancer center in Seattle.

Qualifications

• MD degree (or foreign equivalent)
• Board eligibility (or foreign equivalent) by the American Board of Surgery
• Eligible for medical licensure in state of Washington
• USMLE steps completion required for H-1B sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive surgical evaluation and management of benign and malignant breast disease.
• Independently and proficiently perform all oncologic and diagnostic breast procedures, including breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy (nipple-sparing, skin-sparing, non-skin-sparing), sentinel lymph node biopsy, axillary dissection, and excisional biopsies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast clinics and tumor conferences.
• Collaborate with specialists in medical oncology, radiation oncology, breast imaging, pathology, and plastic surgery.
• Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based care pathways, and continued program growth, including adapt to new technologies and surgical approaches
• Teach SSO Breast Surgical Oncology fellows, ACGME-accredited General Surgery residents, UW medical students, and other division trainees.
• Serve as a clinical leader at one of our community sites in the Seattle area

Education
