Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessment and ongoing evaluation for breast surgery patients.
• Support pre‑operative and post‑operative care, including wound evaluation and drain management.
• Deliver patient and family education on diagnosis, options, expectations, and recovery.
• Coordinate with surgeons and APPs for pre‑surgical clearance and imaging workflows.
• Manage care transitions across consults, imaging, pathology review, and survivorship planning.
• Respond to patient calls and portal messages with symptom triage per protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation and use of clinical technology per NYP standards.
