In this ambulatory role, you will guide patients through diagnosis, surgical options, preparation, and postoperative recovery, ensuring safe care coordination and a positive patient experience during stressful moments. Qualifikationen

• BSN required or equivalent.
• Current NYS registered professional nurse license.
• BCLS and other life-support certifications as required by nursing bylaws.
• Strong patient education, assessment, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a surgical oncology practice environment.

Aufgaben

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessment for breast surgery patients.
• Support pre‑operative and post‑operative care and wound evaluation.
• Deliver education on diagnosis, options, perioperative expectations, recovery.
• Coordinate pre‑surgical clearance, imaging workflows, and surgical referrals.
• Guide patients through care transitions and survivorship planning.
• Respond to calls and portal messages, escalating issues per protocol.
• Ensure accurate documentation and use of clinical technology.
