Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APN or PA) for Breast Surgery to support clinical care, education, research, and administrative activities under the supervision of General Surgery and Plastic Surgery teams. This onsite role focuses on Breast Center clinics, genetic counseling, and perioperative support.

You will assist in mastectomies, reconstructions, and related procedures, prepare charts, and participate in discharge planning, with opportunities for OR

Qualifications

• Requires a college or university degree.
• Illinois APN or PA license/eligibility to start.
• NCCPA certification for PA track by start date.

Responsibilities

• Supports Breast Center and Breast Surgery clinics at Hyde Park and other sites.
• Assists in breast/ general surgery procedures and OR readiness.
• Prepares Breast Conference write-ups weekly and coordinates charts.
• Counsels on genetic testing and orders tests with Breast Center RN.
• Provides independent clinical care under supervision and discharge planning.
