Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited medical program.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Maryland with active license.
• Board certified in the physician's specialty per hospital requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for initial evaluation and treatment of patients.
• Performs initial history and physical and documents in EMR.
• Writes standard orders and orders related to pre-existing conditions.
• Discusses findings with colleagues; updates treatment plans as needed.
• Evaluates patient progress and adjusts care accordingly.
• Initiates referrals to ancillary departments and community resources.
• Writes progress notes documenting patient status and plan.
