Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson, MD, seeks physicians to oversee initial evaluation and treatment of patients in assigned areas under general supervision. Eligible candidates are graduates of accredited medical programs and MDs licensed in Maryland, Board Certified by the appropriate board, and maintain CME credits.

The role requires strong analytical skills and interpersonal abilities to work with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical program as Education.
• Licensed as a physician in the State of Maryland.
• Complete required CME credits for continuous licensure.
• Board Certified by the appropriate board consistent with the physician’s specialty.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for the initial evaluation and treatment of patients in assigned areas.
• Performs initial history and physical and documents in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Writes standard orders and orders related to pre-existing conditions.
• Discusses findings with providers and staff as necessary.
• Evaluates patient progress and alters treatment modalities as needed.
• Initiates referrals to ancillary departments and community resources.
• Writes progress notes documenting patient progress and treatment plan.
