Job summary
Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG) is seeking a full-time Physician Advisor to serve as a clinical resource to the medical staff and Case Management teams in South Florida.
The Physician Advisor will help identify and resolve utilization issues while supporting compliant, high-quality patient care and participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, teaching, and clinical research initiatives.
Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited institution.
- Active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date).
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Medical Oncology (ABIM).
- Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology from an ACGME-accredited program.
- Expertise in diagnosis and management of breast cancer.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with breast cancer using chemotherapy, endocrine, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies.
- Collaborate with Breast Surgical Oncology, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, Genetics, and other oncology specialists.
- Participate in multidisciplinary breast tumor boards and treatment planning conferences.
- Contribute to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; participate in research and quality improvement initiatives.
