Job summary

AstraZeneca plc is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) or Senior MSL for the Breast Oncology team in the US Southwest. You will act as the local medical voice, build a tailored strategy, and support patient care with scientific expertise in oncology.

In this field-based role, you will engage with oncologists and MDT members, lead peer-to-peer scientific interactions, and stay current with evolving data to inform R&D and education efforts. Travel is required (40–60%).

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific degree required (e.g. Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) in a health science or clinical discipline.
• Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation, one-on-one conversations and small group dialogues.

Responsibilities

• Act as the local medical leader to develop a tailored strategy aligned with AZ USMA priorities.
• Develop relationships with academia, hospitals, managed markets, and private practices.
