Job summary

Moffitt is seeking an APP Breast Oncology Fellow for a 12-month, onsite fellowship in Tampa, FL. The program focuses on evaluation, management and treatment of oncology patients, with operating room first-assist experience in breast surgery as part of MMG.

The ideal candidate is an APRN or PA-C with board certification, Florida licensure near start date, and current BLS/ACLS certification; oncology experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required.
• Graduated from an accredited APRN or PA program with board certification.
• Florida APRN or PA licensure required one month before start date.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required and maintained during fellowship.
• Oncology or internal medicine experience; critical care a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Assists physicians with evaluation, management and treatment.
• Formulates treatment plans within scope of practice.
• May perform minor surgical procedures.
• Prescribes medications as appropriate.
• Documents patient care per medical staff rules.
• Engages in research projects and presentations.
• Participates in tumor boards and educational venues.
