Michigan Medicine seeks a licensed Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to manage breast medical oncology patients in a hybrid work setting at Rogel Cancer Center. You will conduct history and physicals, develop plans of care, identify trial candidates, and support patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan.
• Current specialty certification to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Michigan (Adult-Gerontology Acute Care/Primary Care NP, Adult NP, FNP or Acute NP).
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner recognized by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
• Current DEA registration.
• AHA Approved BLS.
• 2 years of APP experience.
• Clinical experience in oncology.

Responsibilities

• Management of breast medical oncology patients.
• Direct care and management of outpatients including history, exam, diagnoses and care plans.
• Identify clinical trial eligibility and coordinate education and support for patients and families.
• Manage treatment toxicities and provide symptom management and palliative care.
• Review labs, pathology and radiology results and monitor surveillance.
• Participate in tumor board meetings and clinical research.
• Collaborate with Cancer Center specialties and other APPs to plan and deliver care.
• Attend CME activities in oncology or palliative care.
• Attend programmatic and Cancer Center meetings; may attend regional/national meetings.
