Job summary

Heritage Medical Associates in Nashville, TN seeks a skilled Sonographer to provide high-quality ultrasound imaging and exceptional patient service. You will assist the Radiologist with exams and coordinate patient care with technologists.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Ultrasonography program, ARDMS certification, and a minimum of 3 years of vascular ultrasound experience, with the ability to work at multiple imaging locations if floated.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography Program.
• ARDMS certification required.
• Maintain licensure with 30 ultrasound CME credits every 3 years.
• Minimum 3 years experience with vascular ultrasound.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Ultrasound procedures.
• If in float position, must be available to work at any of HMA’s Imaging locations.
• Adheres to Ultrasound quality control standards.
• Management of Imaging records.
• Triage patients to ensure productive departmental flow.
• Record health history of patients; note abnormal conditions for physician; prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of supplies.
• Set up and stock exam rooms for daily use; keep rooms and equipment clean between procedures.
• Follow clinic policies for infection control in handling and disposing of infectious/hazardous waste materials.
• Adhere to Quality Control Guidelines.
• Adhere to Service Standards.
• Perform other tasks as needed.
• Must have predictable and consistent attendance
