Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for breast imaging at Edwards, CO. The assignment spans 13 weeks with days on a 4/10s schedule. Responsibilities include mammography, stereotactic biopsy, and breast ultrasound while adhering to MQSA/ACR standards.

Responsibilities include patient education, quality control, scheduling, and collaborative care with radiologists. ARRT Mammography and BLS certifications are required; one year of healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• This role performs breast imaging procedures including mammography, stereotactic biopsy, and ultrasound.
• It follows MQSA and ACR guidelines for breast imaging.
• It requires knowledge of breast anatomy and related pathologies and safe radiation administration.

Responsibilities

• Review patient requisitions for consistency with clinical diagnoses and demographics.
• Operate and maintain mammography and stereotactic equipment; use contrast agents and sterile technique as needed.
• Conduct and document quality control of imaging equipment per MQSA/ACR standards.
• Educate patients throughout the imaging process to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Review and present completed breast imaging examinations to radiologist; communicate essential data.
• Coordinate and schedule breast imaging appointments to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with departmental workflow and ensure accurate patient charges.
• Monitor and order medical supply inventory efficiently.
• Promote breast health education at organizational events.
• Participate in orientation of new staff and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain CPR certification and 24 CEU credits every two years per ARRT guidelines.
