Job summary

RMH Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale, WV seeks a Mammography Radiologic Technologist to perform a full range of mammography procedures and ensure MQSA compliance. You will plan exams, position patients, and minimize radiation exposure while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided.
• WV: Radiography License through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board
• ARRT Registration in Radiography.
• ARRT Registration in Mammography.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
• State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Plans the performance of the imaging procedure based on needs of the patient.
• Develops skill sets to become competent in all exams within job scope.
• Maintains expertise in anatomy, physiology and pathology relative to imaging.
• Positions and compresses the patient accurately for breast imaging.
• Minimizes radiation exposure by shielding and selecting exposure factors.
• Evaluates images for protocol compliance and image quality.
• Educates patient regarding mammographic procedures.
• Documents imaging activities per ARRT and federal mandates.
• Engages in problem solving and systems implementation with hospital staff.
• Performs MQSA quality control tests and maintains MQSA compliance.
