Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Mammography Tech to perform Radiologic breast imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. The role requires performing related functions according to department protocols and using independent judgment for radiographic techniques.

A High School Diploma or G.E.D. is mandatory, along with ARRT registration and the advanced registry in Mammography. This position is located in Taylor, Michigan, and will involve day shifts as part of the Radiology department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible).
• If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.
• Failure to obtain registry within the designated timeframe will result in termination of the Mammography Tech position.
• Must maintain the required hours of continued medical education.
• Must meet all Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) criteria, as well as other regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform Radiologic breast imaging procedures for evaluation of pathological entities.
• Utilize independent judgment in determining appropriate radiographic techniques and safety practices.
