Job summary

UNC Health southeastern in Lumberton, NC is seeking a per diem Breast Imaging Radiologist (MD/DO) to join our team. This role focuses on interpretation of mammography, breast ultrasound, and MRI, with image-guided breast procedures as needed.

The position offers a per diem or 1099-contract opportunity, with dayshift work, no on-call requirements, and a focus on 100% breast imaging, in a dedicated Breast Center within a major academic health system.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in breast imaging or extensive breast imaging experience.
• Proficient interpretation of mammography, ultrasound and MRI for breast care.
• Experience performing image-guided breast procedures (biopsies/localizations).

Responsibilities

• Interpret breast imaging studies in the radiology department and Breast Center.
• Perform image-guided breast procedures and biopsies as needed.
• Provide dedicated diagnostic breast imaging services with no on-call schedule.
