Qualifications

• Fellowship training in breast imaging or extensive breast imaging experience.
• Proficient interpretation of mammography, ultrasound and MRI for breast care.
• Experience performing image-guided breast procedures (biopsies/localizations).

Responsibilities

• Interpret breast imaging studies in the radiology department and Breast Center.
• Perform image-guided breast procedures and biopsies as needed.
• Provide dedicated diagnostic breast imaging services with no on-call schedule.

UNC Health southeastern is currently seeking a per diem Breast Imaging Radiologist (MD/DO) to join our team in Lumberton, NC. This position can be employed or a 1099-contract opportunity. This position will be a dedicated Diagnostic Breast Imaging Specialist and should be fellowship training or have extensive experience in breast imaging. The specialist will focus on the interpretation of breast imaging studies, including mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI, as well as perform image-guided breast procedures such as biopsies and localizations.

Position Information

• Will perform procedures in the radiology department, as well as mammography & procedural work in the Breast Center.
• Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; dayshift only & no call schedule!
• This position offers 100% breast, NO diagnostic work
