UMass Memorial Medical Group is seeking to hire a Breast Imaging Radiologist interested in joining a thriving, flexible and supportive department.
About Our Department
- ~100 Radiologists, 28 residents, 10 fellows, ~25 research faculty and 5 full‑time educators, providing comprehensive imaging services through a fully integrated health care system.
- Primary academic medical center for UMass Chan Medical School.
- State‑of‑the‑art imaging equipment and a fully integrated IT infrastructure (EPIC, PACS, PS‑1) with extensive AI implementation.
- Opportunities for medical student education, health services or basic science research and AI.
Breast Imaging Division
- 11 Breast Imagers and 1 Breast Imaging Fellow coordinate clinical care in UMass Memorial’s NAPBC approved Comprehensive Breast Center and multiple ACR designated centers of excellence within a 15–30‑mile radius.
- Annually: ~60,000 screening mammograms, 15,000 diagnostic mammograms, 12,000 dedicated breast ultrasounds, 2,250 breast MRIs and 4,250 interventional procedures.
- Digital environment across all UMass Health sites with six 1.5T and two 3T breast MRI systems, 20 tomosynthesis units, one 2D mammography unit, 12 ultrasound suites and 2 ABUS suites.
- All Breast Imaging Radiologists should be able to perform a full range of breast imaging and interventions.
- Starting spring 2026, faculty may read from home an average of one day per week.
- Full‑time faculty allocated 40 non‑clinical academic days per year.
