Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals is seeking a Breast Imaging Patient Navigator to guide patients through the breast care continuum, coordinating care from screening through treatment. You will liaise with providers and families to ensure timely communication and adherence to plans.

You will coordinate follow-up imaging, pathology results, and treatment appointments, while ensuring MQSA compliance and high-quality patient experiences in a collaborative care setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Certified Radiological Technologist and Registered Technologist in Mammography are required.
• Certified Breast Health Clinical Navigator certification is required.
• Five years of clinical radiology experience is required.
• Strong communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams is essential.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support patients and families through the breast care continuum from screening to follow-up.
• Act as liaison between patients, providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely communication and care.
• Coordinate follow-up imaging, procedures, pathology results, and treatment appointments.
• Oversee MQSA quality control processes and ensure compliance with imaging standards and inspections.
• Build relationships with referring providers and community partners to expand access to imaging services.
