Job summary

Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare is seeking an experienced nurse navigator to support patients through the breast imaging pathway. You will coordinate imaging, biopsies, referrals and follow-up care, ensuring timely diagnosis and treatment with patient education and advocacy.

The role emphasizes collaboration with radiology, breast surgery and oncology teams, plus involvement in quality improvement and community outreach to improve access and outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing (Missouri) or Radiologic Technologist with Mammography credentials.
• BLS certification required.
• 3+ years of relevant healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate communication with patients after abnormal imaging findings.
• Coordinate imaging appointments, referrals, and follow-up services.
• Guide patients through diagnostic and treatment processes with education and support.
• Monitor progress and address barriers to care (scheduling, transportation, finances).
• Participate in multidisciplinary breast conferences and quality improvement Initiatives.
