Job summary

VCU Health in Richmond, VA seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging and ensure high-quality diagnostic images. You will apply ARRT radiography expertise, maintain breast imaging standards, and collaborate with LIP and support teams in a fast-paced environment.

Required ARRT certifications (Radiography and Mammography), BLS, and 1–3 years of relevant experience; JRC-accredited program graduate. Eligible for sign-on bonus with timely offer.

Qualifications

• ARRT radiography certification and ARRT-M required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• 1–3 years of breast imaging technologist experience preferred.
• Graduation from a JRC Accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform breast imaging procedures.
• Determine radiographic technique exposure factors.
• Perform and assist with breast interventional procedures.
• Maintain ALARA principles to minimize exposure.
• Provide patient education related to imaging procedures.
• Educate and mentor students and learners in Radiology.
• Support ongoing quality assurance activities.
