Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, UT seeks a patient-support coordinator in the mammography department. You will coordinate diagnostic workflows, educate patients, and assist in transitioning to Clinical Care Management.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with responsibilities including coordinating biopsies, following up on abnormal results, and liaising with radiology, surgery, and primary care teams to ensure timely care.

Qualifications

• Medical Terminology experience or completion of a Medical Terminology Class.
• 1 year of experience in a diagnostic imaging department.
• Experience in clinical coordination role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination of multidisciplinary breast cancer and imaging information with the Clinical Care Coordinator.
• Call back all patients with an abnormal mammogram and assist in follow up.
• Coordinate appointments that require diagnostic services with radiological, surgical, or primary care provider.
• Explain image-guided procedures knowledgeably and in detail.
• Schedules patients and coordinates biopsy procedures including stereotactic, ultrasound core, and localizations.
• Follow-up on biopsy results.
• Notify appropriate physician with results.
