Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care is seeking a Sonographer for per diem day shifts in the NGH Breast Center. The role focuses on ultrasound imaging, clinical evaluation, and collaboration with radiology staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

The candidate will perform abdominal and pelvic scans, maintain equipment, and participate in the on-call rotation, with education and patient support as part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree from an accredited Ultrasonography program.
• Current ARRT registration with up-to-date CE credits.
• ARDMS certification with up-to-date CE credits.
• Registered in two ultrasound sub-specialties or one sub-specialty.
• 1 year of healthcare/medical Sonography experience.

Responsibilities

• Produces ultrasound images and examinations including abdominal and pelvic scans.
• Obtains history and assesses conditions for contraindications.
• Operates and maintains sonographic equipment and film processors.
• Assists physician during invasive procedures and adheres to AIUM guidelines.
• Coordinates with physicians and nursing staff and documents results.
