UNC Health is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to produce ultrasonic images and support breast center operations. You will maintain image quality, ensure patient safety, and assist physicians during procedures, while educating staff and students.

The role requires ARRT certification and an associates degree in ultrasonography, with at least one year of clinical sonography experience. Per diem schedule, day shift, on-site at Nash UNC Health Care.

Formación

• Associates Degree in Ultrasonography or ARRT with CE credits.
• Registered in two ultrasound sub-specialties or one sub-specialty.
• 1 year of healthcare/clinical sonography experience.

Responsabilidades

• Produce ultrasound images and examinations as directed.
• Obtain history and assess contraindications for procedures.
• Ensure image quality, patient safety, and sterile technique.
• Assist physicians during invasive procedures.
• Apply AIUM guidelines and patient protection standards.
• Coordinate with physicians and nursing staff.
• Operate and maintain sonographic equipment and related systems.
• Document findings in the patient record.
• Provide instruction to staff and students on sonographic procedures.
