Responsibilities

• Provides education about breast imaging and diagnostic testing.
• Tracks and follows up on patients with abnormal imaging results to ensure access from evaluation to biopsy.
• Notifies referring clinicians when further evaluation or biopsy is needed.
• Monitors scheduling and preparation for ultrasound-guided biopsy, MRI, and stereotactic core biopsy.
• Ensures documentation is entered into the EMR.
• Ensures patient understanding of biopsy procedures.
• Participates in tracking biopsy outcomes.
• Communicates with clinicians to coordinate bookings.
