Fox News Digital is seeking an experienced Writer to join our fast-paced news operation in Los Angeles. You love breaking news and will quickly craft multiple stories daily, with emphasis on accuracy, clarity, and compelling storytelling for our audience.

You will cover breaking events, trends, and daily news, pitch exclusive and aggregated stories, collaborate with editors and photographers, and ensure high-quality copy with proper attribution. Knowledge of AP style and SEO is highly valued.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience covering the news and newsroom experience.
An intense interest in news across verticals including U.S., World, Politics, Business and more.
Knowledge of AP style and a clear, crisp writing style.
Ability to work under deadline-driven newsroom conditions.
Flexibility to work holidays and travel for breaking news.

Responsibilities

Cover breaking news events, writing quickly and precisely to solidify Fox News Digital as the go-to site for breaking news.
Pitch and cover stories that resonate with Fox News Digital’s audience with proper attribution.
Pursue original and exclusive stories through sources.
Present all stories in an accessible, consistent, and compelling style.
Collaborate with editors and fellow writers/reporters.
Obtain and edit compelling video and pictures for each story.
