Job summary

TelevisaUnivision seeks a talented Assignment Desk Editor based in Miami to join the newsroom team. The role coordinates story development, interviews, field production, and cross-platform coverage across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.

The candidate should have strong editorial judgment, newsroom experience, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Onsite work in Miami, FL is required.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or MA in Communications, Journalism, New Media, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Minimum of 2 years of newsroom experience.
• Experience with non-linear editing and archive systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, iNews, Avid, live feed systems, and social platforms.

Responsibilities

• Constantly monitor and respond to breaking news across platforms.
• Coordinate daily story production with reporters, photographers, and multimedia journalists.
• Secure high-profile guests and arrange interviews.
• Field produce and travel for major news coverage and special assignments.
• Assist writers, producers, editors, and digital teams with information gathering.
