The role requires strong editorial judgment, production experience, and a passion for breaking news across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms. The successful candidate will coordinate story development, secure high-profile guests, book interviews, field produce, and manage daily newsroom workflows across multiple programs.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or MA in Communications, Journalism, New Media, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Minimum of 2 years of newsroom experience required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Producer and/or Assignment Editor preferred.
• Strong editorial judgment and knowledge of current affairs.
• Highly motivated, creative, assertive, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing multiple social media platforms.
• Basic video editing knowledge.
• Ability to monitor and record multiple video feeds simultaneously.
• Experience working with non-linear editing and archive systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, iNews, Avid, live feed systems, and social media platforms.
• Must be willing to work onsite in Miami, FL.
• Employment and education verification required.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Monitor breaking news and developing stories across multiple platforms.
• Generate, research, verify, plan, and develop story ideas for broadcasts and digital platforms.
• Coordinate daily story production with reporters and multimedia journalists.
• Secure high-profile guests and arrange interviews.
• Coordinate and manage live remotes, video feeds, and interview logistics.
• Support field crews with information and logistics.
• Update stories with latest developments and information.
• Assist with editorial meetings and coverage plans.
• Field produce and travel for major news coverage as needed.
