Job summary

Portland Sheraton at Sable Oaks, a Collwen Hotels property, is seeking experienced Breakfast Servers to join our team in Portland, ME. You will be the face of our restaurant, welcoming guests, taking orders, and delivering food and beverages with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, answering questions about the menu, handling payments, and maintaining knowledge of menu items. The role requires energy, teamwork, and adherence to brand standards and liquor policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale system.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Team player with good personal hygiene.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous serving experience preferred.
• Must be available on nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly greeting and use guest names when possible.
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders.
• Prepare guest checks and collect payment.
• Answer questions about the menu and ingredients.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items.
• Ensure food is prepared correctly and to guest satisfaction.
• Clear and reset tables; keep areas clean.
• Adhere to state liquor policies and brand standards.
• Assist with other restaurant tasks during shifts.
• May work in multiple departments as needed.
