Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver consistent, high-quality service across its food and beverage venues. You will set up, serve, and break down dining areas while maintaining cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.

You will greet guests, know the menu, and handle orders with accuracy using the POS system. This role requires teamwork, pace, and a guest-first attitude.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a server in a full service restaurant.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work quickly without compromising quality.
• Must read, write and speak the English language fluently.
• Experience with computerized cash registers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge all arriving guests in a prompt and professional manner; engage with guests and respond to questions.
• Demonstrate complete knowledge of the food and beverage menu.
• Serve food and beverage orders, check temperature, ensure portions, and refill when necessary.
• Operate POS system and manage cash handling per policies.
• Check-in with tables to meet guest expectations and ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain dining area cleanliness and finish closing duties and reports.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation and uniform standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
