Landmark Hotel Group operates the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront, seeking an AM Line Cook to support opening duties and meal prep for daily service. This role emphasizes following recipes, maintaining kitchen readiness, and communicating shortages to ensure smooth operations.

The position requires a minimum of one year as a line cook in a hotel or full-service restaurant, with the ability to obtain Food Handling certification within four weeks.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as a line cook at a hotel or full-service restaurant.
• Ability to obtain Food Handling and Sanitation Certification within four weeks of hire.
• Commensurate or transfer skill set is of primary importance.
• Good attitude and work ethic to maximize operating efficiency while ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening duties: set up station with required tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Inspect cleanliness and working condition of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Check production schedule and pars.
• Establish priority items for the day.
• Inform Chef/Kitchen Manager of supplies to requisition for the day.
• Transport supplies from storeroom and stock in designated areas.
• Start prep work for the day’s menu items.
• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides.
• Inform Chef/Kitchen Manager of shortages before items run out.
• Inform F&B service staff of 86’d items and available specials.

Landmark Hotel Group is seeking an AM Line Cook for the Hilton Garden Inn located at 100 E. Constance Road, Suffolk, Virginia 23434.

Core Responsibilities:

• Complete opening duties:
  
  
  
  • Set up work station with required tools, equipment, and supplies according to standards.
  
  
  • Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies.
  
  
  • Check production schedule and pars.
  
  
  • Establish priority items for the day.
  
  
  • Inform the Chef/Kitchen Mgr. of any supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day's tasks.
  
  
  • Transport supplies from the storeroom and stock in designated areas.
