Job summary

Golder Hospitality is seeking a friendly Breakfast Host to coordinate the breakfast service, greet guests, and ensure a stocked, clean dining area. You will help deliver warm, attentive service in a hotel environment.

The role requires availability during evenings, weekends and holidays, with opportunities to interact with guests and team members to create a positive start to the day. This position is on-site at our Minnesota property.

Qualifications

• Read, write and speak English to communicate with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Set up breakfast stations and maintain stocked food and beverage items.
• Greet guests warmly and deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain appropriate quantities of food and beverages at breakfast stations during service hours.
• Keep breakfast area clean and well stocked throughout shifts.
• Interact with guests pleasantly during shifts and address needs.
• Clear and store breakfast items at end of shift; perform end-of-shift cleanup.
• Communicate with guests and employees both verbally and in writing.
• Work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

The Breakfast Host is responsible for coordinating the breakfast service and maintaining a cleaned and stocked breakfast area. This person must deliver excellent customer service while interacting with guests.

Essential Functions: - Breakfast Host

• Welcomes and thanks all guest for their patronage.
• Set up breakfast stations.
• Maintain appropriate quantity of food and beverage at hot, cold and beverage stations during breakfast hours.
• Keep area clean and stocked.
• Interact with guests pleasantly during shift.
• Put away breakfast at the end of the shift.
• Cleaning of kitchen and breakfast area at the end of the shift.
• Performs routine daily tasks as set forth in the daily checklist.
• Knowledge on facilities and amenities associated with the hotel.
• Communicate with guest and employees both verbally and in writing.

Supportive Functions:

• Assist all guests as necessary to ensure a positive experience.
• Any other tasks as requested by direct supervisor or other hotel management staff.

Requirements

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees and guests.
• Organizational skills.

Must be available weekends and holidays.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Our hotel functions seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
