Responsible for: offering prompt and courteous service to ensure guests have an enjoyable experience. Maintain the cleanliness and guest-ready appearance of the outlet.

PRE REQUISITES

The Company associates have access to guestrooms and property; honesty and trustworthiness are essential traits. Associates must pass the appropriate security clearance per company policy.

  • Experience in a food and beverage position is helpful.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Must be able to perform major life activities: standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating.

  • Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and/or carry 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach.
  • Must be able to see and hear.
  • Must be able to speak and read English; knowledge of another language may be helpful.
  • Must display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness at all times.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge in:

  • Menu items and beverage choices
  • Standards of operation as required by brand
  • Local shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions to assist guest inquiries
  • Daily hotel operations, including checking daily events, bulletin boards, updates on changes, new procedures, and events
  • Property details, staff, services, hours of operation, room types, locations, rates, discounts

Skills:

  • Service-minded, friendly, professional behavior
  • Suggest and serve quality food and beverage items per standards

Abilities:

  • Multi-task and remain guest service-centric
  • Communicate effectively with guests, department heads, associates, and support staff
  • Solve guest issues professionally while maintaining a hospitable attitude
  • Work as part of a team in cleaning, side work, food preparation, and storage
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and maintain the dining area and supplies in a guest-ready atmosphere
  • Close out shift by cleaning and restocking supplies for the next day or shift
  • Maintain safety and security practices; be familiar with emergency procedures
  • Ensure guests receive high-quality products and service
  • Complete brand standard documentation as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned within capability
WORKING CONDITIONS/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Standing and walking for extended periods while maintaining a friendly, professional image. Flexibility in work schedule is required, including availability 24/7, weekends, and holidays.

POSITIONS FOR POSSIBLE ADVANCEMENT

Training others and teaching skills will prepare for future leadership roles, such as Food and Beverage Supervisor or Guest Service Representative.
