Friendwell Managed Hotels is seeking a breakfast line cook to join our team in Edison, NJ. You will prepare breakfast items, maintain the breakfast buffet, and ensure adherence to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.

The role requires a minimum of two years as a line cook; breakfast-service experience is a plus. You will work in a fast-paced hotel kitchen, following all safety and sanitation regulations and supporting guests with friendly, professional service.

We’re seeking a breakfast line cook who is a team player, passionate about food, and servingothers to be responsible for preparing breakfast items for hotel guests while maintaininghigh standards of food quality, cleanliness, food safety, cooking and preparing foodaccording to recipes and production guidelines while adhering to food safety, food handling,and sanitation procedures. The Cook should safely handle equipment such as grills, fryers,ovens, Cook- Chill, Kettle and etc.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of two (2) year’s experience as a line cook or in a related role required.
• Breakfast-service experience is a plus.
• Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods,and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to maintain a safe, sanitary work environment, which conforms to all standardsand regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies when necessary.

Requirements:

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry,employees may be required to work varying schedules (including holidays andweekends) to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendanceat all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts (5 A.M.).
• Ability to work all shifts inclusive of weekends and holidays.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
