Job summary

TPG Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Breakfast Cook in Saint Petersburg, FL. You will prepare and present breakfast items per Courtyard brand standards, maintain a clean and organized kitchen, and support a smooth, friendly breakfast service.

Ideal candidates have 1+ years as a line cook, can work under pressure, and follow food safety guidelines. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required, with opportunities to grow in a hotel group offering notable employee benefits.

Qualifications

  • One or more years of previous experience as a line cook or similar culinary role is preferred.
  • High school education plus schooling in culinary arts or related major.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet timing requirements.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present breakfast menu items according to recipes, portion guidelines, and Courtyard brand standards.
  • Set up and maintain the breakfast station to ensure food, supplies, and equipment are ready for service.
  • Prepare guest orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining quality, freshness, presentation, and proper food temperatures.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, storage, labeling, and proper food-handling procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen and work area throughout the shift.
  • Monitor food and supply levels, minimize waste, and communicate inventory or equipment needs to leadership.
  • Complete daily preparation, opening, cleaning, and closing responsibilities.
  • Work closely with Bistro and Food & Beverage team members to provide friendly, efficient service and a positive guest experience.
  • Respond professionally to guest requests and communicate special dietary or allergy-related needs appropriately.
  • Support the overall success of the hotel by assisting with additional kitchen or Food & Beverage duties as business needs require.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort

Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines.
