Job summary

Hyatt Select Nashville/Opryland is seeking a friendly Complimentary Attendant to deliver high-quality food and beverage service to guests in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will represent the property's standards with warmth and professionalism.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, serving beverages, maintaining cleanliness, restocking service areas, and assisting colleagues across food and beverage operations. Prior hospitality experience and a positive attitude are a must.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willing to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must pass responsible serving course such as TIPs as required by property.
• Must be able to obtain and provide Food Handlers card as required by city/county/state.
• Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner.
• Understanding of hotel products and guest services.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and a desire to be of service to others.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality standards, as required by scheduling.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working.
• Comply at all times with Avion Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Service guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous and professional manner; ascertain which services could enhance the guests’ stay
• Greet and seat guests in a timely manner.
• Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance.
• Clear, clean and reset tables/hotel spaces per client request or management instruction
• Stock, organize, clean and maintain bar, food and service areas; perform side work each shift
• Accommodate special requests and offer appropriate alternatives.
• Communicate with all departments regarding in-house VIPs and any special requests/needs
• Assist with dishwashing, restocking, sweeping, mopping, and general prep tasks as needed
• Answer the telephone according to standards.
• Know standards for room service orders and current menus
• Carry out cashiering and end-of-shift paperwork
• Perform opening and closing procedures and side work as assigned
• Answer questions about the hotel, brand standards, local area, and attractions
• Attend meetings or perform other duties as requested by management
