Specific Responsibilities

• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware, and other utensils; place them in racks for dishwashing.
• Sort and stack clean dishes.
• Carry clean dishes to the cook’s line and storage areas; rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
• Change dishwater in the dish machine every hour.
• Remove trash.
• Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions.
• Sweep and mop floors.
• Sweep up trash around the exterior of the restaurant and garbage dumpster.
• Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
• Notify the manager if the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
• Prepare salad bar items, ensuring freshness and maintaining condiments with fresh contents.
• Ensure refrigeration of appropriate items immediately.

This is a part-time position with standard hours from 5am to noon. Weekends are required.

Skills/Requirements

• ServSafe certification is a plus but not required.
• Experience in food preparation in a restaurant, kitchen, or dining area.
• Knowledge of food preparation methods, kitchen equipment, and materials used in food prep work.

The hourly rate is $18, influenced by experience, education, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
