Job Title: Breakfast Attendant

Location: Hampton Inn West Haven, CT

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing and providing the highest quality of service possible to guests during the hotel’s complimentary breakfast service.

Essential Functions

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• Ensure that bar, food, and service areas are stocked, organized, clean, and neat; complete all side work during each shift.
• Prepare breakfast items and restock as needed during service hours.
• Communicate with all departments regarding in-house VIPs and any special requests or needs.
• Support all areas of beverage and food service as necessary.
• Share knowledge of the hotel, its amenities, and menu options.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic English verbal communication skills.
• Ability to obtain food handler’s certification as required.
• Physical ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• Proficiency in general computer knowledge.
• Clear communication of information and ideas.
• Desire to serve all guests.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field.
• Previous food and beverage experience.
