Job summary

Home2 Suites by Hilton Tuscaloosa Downtown seeks a friendly Breakfast Attendant to stock and maintain the breakfast area, assist guests, and keep service areas clean.

You will open and reset stations, replenish items, and engage guests with information about local attractions while keeping a positive guest experience across weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or food service experience preferred.
• Strong guest-focused service with friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced breakfast environment.

Responsibilities

• Stock breakfast items and service ware for buffets.
• Clear tables during breakfast periods and maintain cleanliness.
• Describe menu items and respond to guests about offerings.
• Assist guests with questions about attractions and area details.
• Serve beverages and self-serve items; maintain stations and displays.
• Ensure a welcoming, clean, and organized breakfast area.

Description

As a Breakfast Attendant, you would be responsible for stocking food and service ware for breakfast buffets for clearing tables during the complimentary breakfast period to ensure guest satisfaction. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Responsibilities

• Prepare foods such as cut fruit, coffee, juices, cereals, breads, etc.
• Replenish food on cold lines and buffets as needed and inspect display tables.
• Observe and ask guests about their needs and levels of satisfaction with the food or service.
• Describe and/or answer questions for guests about menu items, the buffet, daily specials, etc.
• Talk with guests in order to create a friendly atmosphere and respond to their questions about attractions or other information in the area.
• Serve items such as water, condiments, and coffee to patrons.
• Set out chafing dishes, steam tables, heat lamps, signs and easels, flowers, newspapers, and self-serve utensils.
• Bus, clear and clean tables as they become available, wash utensils, china, etc.
• Clean up spills; remove trash; replenish guest tables and self-service stations as needed.
• Mopping the food service area

This is a full-time, year-round position located at the Home2 Suites Tuscaloosa Downtown. Open availability to work 1st shift is required, including weekends and holidays.
