Job summary

Dalwadi Hospitality Management is seeking a Breakfast Attendant to maintain the breakfast area and food service at our hotel. You will ensure quality, safety, and cleanliness while supporting guest satisfaction and efficient service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and transport all food and beverage items and supplies, equipment and materials to and from the breakfast area.
• Continuously monitor area to ensure adequate supplies of food, beverages, supplies, condiments, etc. to serve all guests.
• Follow proper preparation methods, to meet quality standards.
• Welcome guests and engage with them about their stay and experience.
• Respond to requests in a prompt and professional manner.
• Purchase or request inventory to ensure adequate stock of food, beverage, supplies and equipment.
• Monitor food and beverage costs based on budget.
• Maintain and follow breakfast food schedule.
• Ensure proper storage of products, inventory and equipment to minimize waste.
• Keep work and breakfast area clean and organized (hoods, filters, tables, carts, ovens, grills, sinks, refrigerators, floors, counters).
• Empty trash and clear tables.
• Check equipment condition and report unsafe/malfunctioning gear.
• Maintain daily temperature logs for all coolers and freezers.
• Operate dishwashing machine as required and store supplies properly.
• Inspect items for wear and tear.
• Ensure energy conservation and job safety compliance.
• Proactively maintain assigned areas and equipment.
• Ensure timely completion of daily assignments.
• Report safety concerns to management.
• Attend mandatory trainings.
• Be flexible with schedule and duties in other departments.
• Perform additional duties as requested by supervisor.

Job description

Breakfast Attendants are responsible for attending to food and beverage area ensuring a high level of quality and consistency. Adhere to all health, sanitation and cleanliness standards to meet state and local Health Board inspections, brand standard and company requirements. The following reflects the essential job duties but does not restrict additional tasks that may be assigned. Duties of this job may be changed at management’s discretion.

Essential Duties include::

• Prepare and transport all food and beverage items and supplies, equipment and
  materials to and from the buffet breakfast area
• Continuously monitor area to ensure adequate supplies of food, beverages, supplies, condiments, etc. to serve all guests
• Follow proper preparation methods, to meet quality standards
• Welcome guests and, make conversation to inquire about guest’s stay and experience to engage the guests.
• Respond to requests in a prompt and professional manner
• Purchase and/or request for purchase inventory to ensure adequate stock of food, beverage, supplies and equipment
• Monitor food and beverage costs based on budget
• Maintains and follows breakfast food schedule
• Ensure procedures are followed for the security and proper storage of all products, inventory and equipment to minimize waste
• Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized work and breakfast area, including but not limited to hoods, filters, tables, carts, ovens and grills, sinks, refrigerators, floors and counters
• Empty trash and clear tables
• Check the working condition of equipment and report to supervisor any unsafe or malfunctioning equipment
• Maintain twice daily temperature logs for all coolers and freezers.
• May operate dishwashing machine in accordance with manufacturer specifications and instructions and store clean supplies in assigned storage location
• Inspect items for wear and tear
• Ensures compliance with energy conservation and job safety requirements
• Proactively maintain assigned areas and equipment
• Ensure efficient completion of daily assignments in a timely manner
• Report all safety concerns to management
• Attend and participate in all mandatory trainings
• Flexible with schedule and assignments as well as duties in other departments
• Maintain effective performance under pressure
• Perform additional duties as requested by supervisor
