Job summary

Houlihan’s Restaurant + Bar at the I Hotel in Champaign, IL, seeks staff for breakfast and patio responsibilities. Duties include setting up continental breakfast by 7:00am, greeting guests, and explaining breakfast operations, while keeping tables clean and the buffet stocked.

Patio prep and stock duties support morning service in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should demonstrate excellent customer service, a positive attitude, and ability to handle money with a POS system.

Qualifications

• High level of commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members.
• Must have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Be able to stand/walk, stoop, kneel, push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs.
• Flexible work schedule, available to work weekdays and weekends.
• Previous Barista experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Breakfast duties include setting up continental breakfast by 7:00am according to the look book.
• Greet guests at entrances and explain how continental breakfast operates.
• Bus tables and keep the buffet clean; manage crumbs and spills promptly.
• Restock breakfast items and maintain a clean breakfast area throughout service.
• Patio duties include cleaning, umbrella setup, and cushion placement before 7:00am.
• Stock patio cart with water, menus and additional supplies for Breakfast service.

Job description

Breakfast Duties:

• Continental breakfast to be set up according to look book by 7:00am (Fruit is ripe and in good condition; all supplies are stocked and organized; coffee is hot and stocked at all times; buffet is cleaned as often as possible for crumbs, spills, etc.)
• Ensure guests are greeted at both entrances and welcome them to Houlihan's; explain how continental breakfast operates
• Tables are bussed in a timely manner. Dirty dishes do not sit on table for more than 5 minutes
• Continental breakfast is stocked, and counter is cleaned throughout breakfast

Patio Duties:

• Patio is cleaned, umbrellas set up and cushions put out (weather permitting) before 7:00am (If excess winds are present, umbrellas to be tied up; Cusions are to be brought in if it begins to rain)
• For Breakfast: Patio tables are cleaned and set with silverware and glasses; Patio cart is stocked with water, menus, and additional supplies
