General Summary

Responsible for preparing and serving a fresh and inviting presentation of the daily complimentary breakfast, greeting guests warmly, and providing superior service.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Set up and maintain an attractive, organized, and clean breakfast buffet.
2. Greet each guest with friendliness and provide personalized service.
3. Take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed for each day.
4. Order or purchase food supplies as necessary.
5. Prepare foods such as cut fruit, coffee, and juices.
6. Stock coffee, juice, and milk containers.
7. Set up serving dishes, utensils, cups, and other products.
8. Arrange cold foods like pastries and cereals for self-service.
9. Warm and set out hot foods such as hashbrowns and French toast.
10. Clear and clean tables as they are vacated and wipe spills.
11. Maintain cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming kitchen and dining areas.
12. Remove trash and restock self-service items as needed.
13. Wash china, flatware, and serving equipment, then return to storage.
14. Organize and store food supplies properly.
15. Follow health department regulations for food handling, preparation, and storage.
16. Perform additional duties as required.

Job Requirements

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Ability to understand concepts, practices, and guidelines related to guest service.
3. Effective communication skills, polite, courteous, and responsive to guests.
4. Proficiency in speaking and writing English.
5. Organized and detail-oriented.
6. Ability to lift, push, carry, and pull up to 50 lbs.
7. May require reaching overhead, crouching, and twisting.
