Primary Responsibilities
- Review all guaranteed arrivals and verify credit card validity by running numbers to ensure they are not already in-house.
- Ensure that rooms (day use) are marked as dirty in the system for housekeeping to clean.
- Explain and provide promotional items to guests during check-in.
- Explain hotel amenities such as free breakfast, spa, fitness center, voicemail, etc., to guests.
- Document new commercial customer check-ins to facilitate potential new account openings.
- Inquire about blocked rooms and coordinate with maintenance to resolve issues.
- Ensure rollaway beds and cribs are correctly located as per system records.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries or complaints and offer alternative solutions if demands cannot be met.
- Assist in other hotel areas as needed.
- Document guest accidents using the accident report form.
- Complete maintenance logs for reported complaints.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all front desk areas.
- Greet guests warmly and proactively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
- High School diploma/GED required.
- Previous hospitality experience preferred.
- Customer service experience required.
- Experience with cash handling, credit card procedures, and basic math concepts.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of hotel layout, amenities, procedures, and organization.
- Knowledge of local area, including businesses, major highways, community events, and attractions.
