Job Summary

To clear and reset tables and assist food servers in their duties while providing courteous, professional, and efficient service to guests.

Essential Job Functions

This description summarizes primary responsibilities and qualifications. It does not include all duties or qualifications that may be required now or in the future. The hotel operates 24/7, so shift times and hours may vary.

  1. Quickly clear dirty table settings and prepare tables for resetting. Reset all service ware promptly and maintain cleanliness to meet hotel and health standards.
  2. Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods, including silverware, linens, and condiments.
  3. Serve guests beverages, bread, and butter, replenishing as needed.
  4. Transport dirty tableware to the dishwashing area for cleaning.
  5. Perform general cleaning tasks with standard hotel cleaning products as assigned to meet health standards.
  6. Fold napkins and roll silverware to maintain supplies throughout the day.
  7. Stock and maintain service stations with supplies before, during, and after shifts.
  8. Assist servers in delivering orders and pre-busing tables.
  9. Perform other duties such as cleaning spills or handling guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
  10. Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
  11. Follow safety and security rules, know fire prevention and emergency procedures, and use protective equipment.
  12. Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, or property issues to supervisors.
  13. Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance according to the team member handbook.
  14. Perform any additional duties as requested by supervisors or managers.
  15. Assist other restaurant personnel as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of liquor regulations concerning minors and intoxicated guests.
  • Possession or pursuit of a current Food Handler Card.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of proper table settings and service ware.
  • Basic proficiency in English to understand inquiries and give instructions.
  • Ability to understand and apply written instructions for safe product use.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to transport up to 50 lbs. continuously in a crowded environment.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. maximum.
  • Move or push goods on carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Constant standing and walking; frequent twisting, bending, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling.
