Job summary

Generation Hospitality Group is hiring a Breakfast Attendant for Hyatt Place Lincoln. This hourly, part-time role focuses on setting up and maintaining the breakfast area, preparing items, and ensuring a clean, welcoming morning experience for guests.

You will greet guests, handle requests, follow food safety guidelines, and report issues promptly. A valid Food Handlers Permit is required, with weekend and holiday shifts available in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handlers Permit or ability to obtain before start date.
• Previous customer service experience in hospitality or guest-facing roles.
• Basic knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderately heavy items for shifts.
• Strong English communication with guests and team.

Responsibilities

• Set up breakfast area per Hyatt standards (food, beverages, utensils, supplies).
• Prepare and cook breakfast items safely and per recipes.
• Monitor food levels and restock items while maintaining presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of breakfast area, kitchen and equipment; sanitize and manage waste.
• Greet guests, answer questions about menu items and assist with special requests.
• Monitor guest flow and respond to needs for a smooth breakfast experience.
• Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing deliveries as needed.
• Break down and clean the area at end of service and store supplies properly.
• Report maintenance, safety, or supply issues to supervisor promptly.

About The Role

As a Breakfast Attendant, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and satisfying morning experience for our guests. This hourly, part-time position is responsible for setting up and maintaining the breakfast area, preparing and cooking breakfast items in line with Hyatt brand standards, and ensuring a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment. You will interact directly with guests, providing friendly and efficient service, responding to requests, and helping to ensure each guest starts their day on a positive note. This role requires a valid Food Handlers Permit and a strong focus on cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Set up the breakfast area each day according to Hyatt brand standards, including arranging food, beverages, utensils, and supplies
• Prepare and cook breakfast items safely and consistently, following established recipes and food safety guidelines
• Monitor food levels, restock items, and ensure an attractive and appetizing presentation throughout breakfast service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, kitchen, and equipment, including regular wiping, sanitizing, and trash removal
• Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures in compliance with health regulations and company policies
• Greet guests warmly, answer questions about menu items, and assist with special requests or dietary needs when possible
• Monitor guest traffic and respond promptly to guest needs to ensure a smooth and enjoyable breakfast experience
• Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing food and supply deliveries as needed
• Break down and clean the breakfast area and equipment at the end of service, properly storing food and supplies
• Report maintenance, safety, or supply issues to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handlers Permit (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
• Previous customer service experience, preferably in hospitality, food service, or a similar guest-facing role
• Basic knowledge of safe food handling, preparation, and sanitation practices
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and consistent food presentation
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English with guests and team members
• Capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderately heavy items for the duration of the shift
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Positive, friendly attitude and a genuine desire to provide excellent guest service
• Ability to follow established procedures, brand standards, and safety guidelines

The Pay Range For This Role Is

16 - 17 USD per hour(Hyatt Place Lincoln)
