About The Role
As a Breakfast Attendant, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and satisfying morning experience for our guests. This hourly, part-time position is responsible for setting up and maintaining the breakfast area, preparing and cooking breakfast items in line with Hyatt brand standards, and ensuring a clean, safe, and well-stocked environment. You will interact directly with guests, providing friendly and efficient service, responding to requests, and helping to ensure each guest starts their day on a positive note. This role requires a valid Food Handlers Permit and a strong focus on cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Set up the breakfast area each day according to Hyatt brand standards, including arranging food, beverages, utensils, and supplies
- Prepare and cook breakfast items safely and consistently, following established recipes and food safety guidelines
- Monitor food levels, restock items, and ensure an attractive and appetizing presentation throughout breakfast service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, kitchen, and equipment, including regular wiping, sanitizing, and trash removal
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures in compliance with health regulations and company policies
- Greet guests warmly, answer questions about menu items, and assist with special requests or dietary needs when possible
- Monitor guest traffic and respond promptly to guest needs to ensure a smooth and enjoyable breakfast experience
- Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing food and supply deliveries as needed
- Break down and clean the breakfast area and equipment at the end of service, properly storing food and supplies
- Report maintenance, safety, or supply issues to the appropriate supervisor in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Valid Food Handlers Permit (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Previous customer service experience, preferably in hospitality, food service, or a similar guest-facing role
- Basic knowledge of safe food handling, preparation, and sanitation practices
- Strong attention to detail, with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and consistent food presentation
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English with guests and team members
- Capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderately heavy items for the duration of the shift
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Positive, friendly attitude and a genuine desire to provide excellent guest service
- Ability to follow established procedures, brand standards, and safety guidelines
The pay range for this role is: 16 - 17 USD per hour (Hyatt Place Lincoln)
