Job summary

True North Hotel Group is seeking a Breakfast Attendant for the Holiday Inn Express in Hays. This part-time role covers early shifts (5am-1pm or 7am-1pm) with a strong focus on setup, sanitation, and guest service.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, hospitality experience, and relevant certifications such as TIPS and ServSafe as required by local codes. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds is needed plus a positive team attitude.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Experience in hospitality preferred.
• Certifications (TIPS, ServSafe, health dept) as per local codes.

Responsibilities

• Set up breakfast area, dining room and kitchen for operation in a timely and efficient manner.
• Set up, maintain and break down breakfast area, dining room and kitchen area.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure food order delivery accuracy while maintaining FIFO and proper labeling.
• Maintain food and temperature logs and red books.
• Assist with guest requests and/or complaints.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up breakfast area, dining room and kitchen for operation in a timely and efficient manner.
• Set up, maintain and break down breakfast area, dining room and kitchen area
• Perform weekly, monthly and daily cleaning duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ensure food order delivery accuracy while maintaining "first in first out" inventory methods as well as labeling methods.
• Maintain food logs, temperature logs, and red books
• Assist with guest requests and/or complaints

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Experience in hospitality preferred
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
• Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stopping
• Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk for an extended period of time
• Required certifications and training for TIPS, ServSafe, health department and other required organizations according to local codes.
• Experience in hospitality is a plus.
